The Gold Room, 1803 N Elm St, Denton, TX 76201
It's that time of year again! Regardless of the thermostat, the season of gift giving and cozy vibes has officially arrived. Join Ashley of Knomadic Designs for an afternoon of creating hand knitted cup cozies, coasters, or headbands. This is truly a "one pattern fits all" type of workshop. The straightforward pattern will allow you to customize for any type of yarn, size needles, or type of item you want to make. It's truly versatile, stylish and easy. It's the perfect first knitting project! #knittingisavibe
All materials will be provided and no prior experience is necessary - so just bring yourself and some good cheer. Ashley will walk you through all steps of learning to knit for the first time (but certainly not the last!) and finishing your chosen project. A written "recipe" will be provided in case you would like to make more. Additionally, Ashley will be bringing some yarn from her stash that will be available for purchase, should you be inclined to continue on in your knitting journey.
Come get cozy, make some friends and get ready to wow yourself with your handmade item!
About the instructor
Ashley Liggins
Serial Crafter and Lover of all things Art.
Ashley learned to knit in the fifth grade when she was offered a knitting class as an extracurricular. Ever the old soul, she dove head first into that class and hasn’t stopped loving all things knitting and fiber arts since. As a serial crafter, Ashley has tried it all - ceramics, jewelry making, model car building, and most recently sewing garments. There is a profound joy that she experiences when creating something from nothing and her goal now is to share that with other through workshops and craft circles. During the day, she operates as a corporate cog, but that is only to financially support her obsessive crafting and world adventures. You can catch her IG (in true elder millennial fashion) as @willamaejenkins.
