Nour Alkhatib

Nour's Palestinian heritage and the four years she lived in Jordan significantly influence her work today. Nour centers her practice around experiences with her family, cultural identity, and worldbuilding. Nour hybridizes traditional symbols and patterns with nontraditional approaches to relay her messages. Drawing on cultural knowledge and intergenerational practices like Taṭrīz (an intricate form of Palestinian embroidery)Nour welcomes family and community members into her practice. Nour's interdisciplinary spirit and multifaceted identity amplify her practice.
