Miriam Studios is a working ceramic’s studio where aspiring and veteran potters learn and produce.

Casie Cheek

Casie Cheek is a potter in Denton, TX. She enjoys exploring creativity within ceramics and is invested in sharing her work with the community. She is a part of Denton Makers and has been a vendor at Art Festival on the Square, a collaboration with Thin Line Festival. Casie loves including fun textures and color combinations in her art!

Jane Ruestman

When Jane Ruestman took her first art class in junior high, she discovered her passion for creating art. After earning her bachelor's degree, I taught art for the Argyle ISD for 40 years. 

Jane loves working in collage; I combine different elements--old and new, found and created--into new compositions.

Kathryn Boulet

Kathryn Boulet’s jewelry designs are inspired by movement, both in dancing bodies and in nature.  She shapes and forges wire into frames and dangles, many graced with pearls or gemstones.

Kathryn seeks to echo the flowing forms enjoyed in organic movement.

Kristina Smith

Kristina Smith is an image and object based visual artist and educator based in Denton, TX. She received an MFA with distinction in Studio Art from Texas Women’s University in Denton, TX, where she focused on photography, book arts, ceramics, and sculpture. She currently works at the University of North Texas. Her creative research explores memory, familial identity and cultural erasure, with her most recent work examining late stage capitalism, mental illness, and the exploitation of the working class.
